Rob Ehrich brings nearly 20 years of federal government and advocacy experience to slipstreamstrategies. His practice leverages his expertise at the nexus of the emerging commercial unmanned aircraft systems (UAS)/drone industry and the federal government to help his clients grow their market.

As a government relations consultant for the last decade, Rob has worked with clients from a range of industries helping them grow their markets by strategically building their profile in Washington and anticipating opportunities and threats. He has successfully developed and executed congressional and executive branch strategies to advance his clients’ business interests. In addition to his work on behalf of individual clients, Rob has experience leading collaborative government affairs efforts with diverse memberships. He excels at working with multiple stakeholders, including competitors with complex relationships.

Prior to consulting, Rob served as Legislative Assistant to Sen. Evan Bayh (D-IN) for nearly a decade. In this role, he was the Senator’s principal advisor on appropriations, transportation, homeland security, and water resources. Rob was also Senator Bayh’s Military Legislative Assistant (MLA) and designated staff member to the Senate Armed Services Committee (SASC), advising the Senator and staff on matters before the committee. In that role, he managed all defense-related appropriations and authorization requests and projects, and regularly interfaced with officials from the Department of Defense, as well as the defense industry.
